PAULINE RATUSHNIAK
(GRYCHOWSKI)
Peacefully with family by her side, Pauline Ratushniak (Grychowski) passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on April 20, 2022 at the age of 88 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Teresa, Brenda (Gary) and Brian (Kathy); her grandchildren, Patrick (Kerri) and Melissa; her only surviving sibling Sister Cecile Grychowski of Toronto; and numerous nieces and nephews from across Canada.
Pauline was born in Rama, Saskatchewan in 1933, and grew up on the family farm. She met her future husband Corky in the nearby town of Canora, and they were married in 1955. Together they were blessed with three children.
In 1973, after living in Yorkton for a couple of years, the family moved to Winnipeg and settled in Windsor Park. Pauline worked for MTS in various positions until her retirement in October 1992. Corky and Pauline enjoyed traveling and golfing in their retirement until his passing in 2005, after 49 years of marriage.
Pauline was an avid sports fan, especially as a proud Blue Bombers fan, and also enjoyed curling, and bowling throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Paraskevia (Petryshen); her husband Corky; her brothers, William, Metro, Mike, John, Leonard, and Nick; and her sisters, Mary, Nettie and Lee.
Due to COVID, a private funeral service will be held on May 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. This will be live streamed and available on the Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Facebook page, and also on the Church's YouTube channel: Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church-Winnipeg.
In memory of Pauline and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favourite charity.
May her memory be everlasting.
Vichnaya Pamyat.

Our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the Ratushniak family. The Ratushniaks were one of the first families that we met when we first came to Winnipeg. Our boys became friends with Brian, and I gradually got to know Pauline's beautiful daughters. We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you. - Posted by: Ethel Sutherland (Neighborhood Friend) on: May 01, 2022
