BEATRICE (BEA) BURGESS
January 7, 1934 - September 24, 2022


Peacefully in her sleep, Bea passed away September 24, 2022 at Poseidon Care Centre.
Bea was predeceased by her beloved husband Doug on October 17, 2016; her parents, Findlay McGregor, Lydia Sparks; and stepfather Clifford Sparks; sisters, Eva, May, Alice and her brother Orville.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kenn Burgess, John Burgess and Lesley (Greg) Burgess; and granddaughter Melanie (Daniel).
Bea was born in Elphinstone and later lived in Winnipeg with her sister and brother-in-law Alice and Fred.
She met the love of her life, Doug an RCAF Pilot, in Portage la Prairie and they were married in 1954. Three kids later, years, and many moves they settled into St. Vital in a condo on Arden.
A memorial service to celebrate Bea's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment in the family's indoor niche will take place at Glen Lawn Cemetery following the service and prior to the reception.
Special thanks to Riverwood Staff, Poseidon Personal Care Home staff who treated mom and her family with respect, dignity, and love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Poseidon Care Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Bea's memory.
