YAE NAKANO
October 31, 1926 - November 1, 2022
Sadly, Yae passed at age 96. Born in Maple Ridge, BC, she relocated to Manitoba in 1942.
She is predeceased by her spouse John (2012); parents, Yoichiro and Fumi Odaguchi; sister Hisaye; brothers, Eichi and Tetsuo.
Left to mourn are daughters, Shirley, Peggy; grandchildren, Kyle (Veena), Kelli (Steve), Cameron (Beatrice), James (Hasantha) and nine great-grandchildren.
Yae was a skillful seamstress, employed by Crown Cap. After retiring, Yae and John took up golf, travelled to Florida, Texas and their favourite hotspot, Hawaii. Yae was known for her delicious Japanese meals and ethnic dishes she learned from her friends.
Special thanks to the compassionate care at Poseidon Care Home and St. Boniface Hospital.
Cremation has take place with a private family interment later.
