DARREN NICKEL
April 14, 1965 – November 7, 2022


Unexpectedly on November 7, 2022, Darren passed away.
He will be sadly missed and always remembered by his mother and father, Rose and Bill; his brother Brent; sister-in-law Candy and niece Emma.
Celebration of Life will be at Cropo Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Transcona on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Transcona Cemetary.
Feel free to wear your favourite sports jerseys or casual clothing. Darren would have liked that.
Donations in Darren's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter.

  • I've worked with Darren a few years. He Would always ask how your weekend was. If he had something you needed, it would be on your desk the next day.   • I knew him & worked with him for a short time but he made quite an impression. He was polite and cared a lot for others and cared about his work and about doing the right thing. I enjoyed his sense of humour and his storytelling. He brought me nearly to tears laughing at his stories about his neighbour and about the Maury Povich show. He cared about the people around him and would send the occasional message to check in even when we were no longer working together. When he heard I was going to be travelling, he lent me an RFID protective wallet and that was such a kind thing for him to have thought of and done. I enjoyed our team lunches.   • Darren and I started the same day at work in the warehouse; and that time period comes to mind along with some nice memories I have of Darren and our old team from ‘back in the day’ .
