MARIE-JEANNE TRUDEAU

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie-Jeanne Trudeau on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Villa d'Youville in Ste. Anne, MB at the age of 96 years.
Marie-Jeanne leaves to mourn her 12 children, Gerard, Annette (Hector Demarcke), Aggie (Gilles Bonneteau), Cyril, Rachel (Leo-Paul Lansard), Léon, Nicole (Rolly), Alice, Adèle, Clem (Louise Trémorin), Anita and Dolly. She leaves all her grandchildren, her great- grandchildren, her great-great- grandchildren (five generations), plus numerous nephews and nieces. She leaves to mourn her only brother, Bernard Trudeau. Marie-Jeanne was predeceased by her oldest daughter Rita Lansard (Raymond) and her son #2, Denis Trudeau (Betty).
Marie-Jeanne was a kind and loving soul, she was a very determined lady, she knew what she wanted and/or needed and always managed to get things done. She was a very hard-working individual, whether it was running the family farm, working as Head Cook at the Villa d'Youville or as the "Menagère" for the Redemptorist Fathers of the Ste. Anne Parish. She was a dedicated mother looking after the needs of her 14 children, always there to prepare meals, even when there was barely enough money to buy the basic foods from the store. She was there when we needed bandaging after a fall or counselling after a spat with a brother or sister, or after a bad day at school. Mom had a lot of faith in the Virgin Mary and in St. Antoine and she often prayed for help when she could no longer manage on her own. We, the children, always felt safe when "Mom" was there.
The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ste. Anne Catholic Church and will be presided by Father Kevin Lereh M.Ss.Cc. Cremation has taken place and the burial is scheduled at a later date in the Ste. Anne Cemetery.
Thank you to the nurses, the health care aides and all the care givers at the Villa d'Youville Nursing Home in Ste. Anne for the dedication, the care and the time you provided to our mother. We truly appreciate the time and consideration that went towards her daily care.
