DWIGHT GREGORY MURCHISON
1947 - 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dwight Murchison in Nanaimo, BC. Dwight was a hard working, honest and fun loving "Winnipeg Boy" who was a huge Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Dwight was employed with CP Rail for 36 years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley; brothers, Larrie and Gary; and sister-in-law Margaret (Dana).
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Kimberlee, granddaughter Trinity, sister Penny (Hank); brothers, Terrie (Angie), and Dana (Jill); sister-in-law Paulette (Gary) and their families; Shirley's sisters, Rose, Marlene (Darrell), Bonnie (Rick) and their families; and many other close relatives and friends.
In honour of Dwight there will be a Celebration of Life held in Winnipeg at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Mr. Murchison was of Dad’s (Frank Sabatini) best friends. They grew up together…..him, Jim Smith, Dave Leochko, Ray Fontaine. Mr Murchison coming into the scene a little later. I had the pleasure to get to know him, his brothers, and his mother. Everyone knows what a great athlete he was. I watched him many times come out of the Tunnel at the south end of CP rail yards and jog home, every day. My Dad loved him, and he was right by his side until my Dad passed due to stroke complications. It says a lot about the kind human being he was. As was Shirley. My parents cherished that relationship: God speed and rest in peace Mr. Murchison. - Posted by: Dero Sabatini (Family ) on: Dec 14, 2022
