SYLVIA RATNER
April 23, 1928 - December 12, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sylvia Ratner (nee Zipursky) share the news of her peaceful passing on December 12, 2022, at age 94, at the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre.
Sylvia is deeply missed by her children, Sharon (Fred) and Neil (Pat); grandchildren, Jordan (Ilona), Shauna (Oliver), Taras (Rocky), and Shay (Dave); great-grandchildren, Grace, Anna, Joshua, Dallas, and Landon; stepdaughter Sandra; sisters-in-law, Edith and Elaine (Neil); and many special nieces, nephews, and their families. Sylvia will be missed by the many friends she made at 455 Westwood Drive.
Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, Hyman and Sarah; brothers, Sidney and Frank; sister-in-law Mae; and her husbands, Ben and Max.
Burial was held on December 14, 2022 at Rosh Pina Memorial Park. Thank you to pallbearers Grant, Ari, Bernie, Sheldon, Mark, and Jordan.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Rabbi Rose and the staff of Congregation Etz Chayim, and all of the healthcare professionals who lovingly cared for Sylvia through the years.

I met Sylvia this past summer when she was my Dad, Harry’s roommate at Deer Lodge Center. She was a sweet lady who kept a watchful eye over my dad and always had a daily update upon our arrival. Heaven has gained 2 special people as they both, keep a watchful eye over all of us from up above🦋 My deepest condolences go out to her family.
