I was so sad to hear of Donna's passing. She was a wonderful and vibrant person alway willing to help out. She helped us and our Mom in burying my Dad (her uncle) in Winnipeg which her cousins were so grateful for. She had come for visits to my parents when they were still living in Fort Erie....because she cared. My heart goes out to Ian Stevenson, Sarah and Niel - she was so proud of her children and grandchildren. - Posted by: Deborah Sonego (cousin) on: Jan 16, 2023

I was so sad to hear of Donna's passing. My husband and I know Donna and Ian through our son's long-time friendship with their son, Niel. We have lived in the same neighbourhood for many years and would often stop and talk with Donna on her walks with her dog. Our conversations always included how both our sons were doing. Donna was a friendly, caring person and will be missed. My sincerest condolences to Ian and family. - Posted by: Lynn Kemp (Friend & Neighbour) on: Jan 16, 2023

Ian and family: we are horribly saddened to hear about the loss of Donna, her smile lit up a room and her kindness was unbounded. She always greeted our family with such affection at any gathering that it will not be the same without her. Please know that Ian, Sarah and Niel are in our prayers. Donna and Ian visited us in ThunderBay a few years back with trailer in tow. They didn’t want to inconvenience us and asked where a good campground was located. We said that our driveway would work so that’s where they parked. We had a very memorable visit and had lots of laughs and long chats over fantastic meals. We visited the local landmarks which they both enjoyed very much. I remember waving goodbye with a tear of mixed emotions not knowing if I would see them again? We will always cherish that visit with Donna and Ian. We loved you Donna and we will surely miss you. You were very special to many. Thanks for sharing your smile and life with us. I am sorry to hear of Donna's passing. I knew the Stevenson's as we both attended St. James Anglican church. We also lived on the same street and Sarah used to babysit for me. I remember Donna as being a bubbly, friendly person. My sympathy to all of you. - Posted by: Donna Friesen (Dorward) (neighbor) on: Jan 14, 2023
