RONALD GIBSON
June 14, 1929 - Winnipeg. MB
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Ron Gibson who peacefully passed away at the Concordia Place Care Home on February 20, 2023, at the age of 93.
He will be forever remembered by his daughters, Lori Ireland (Shane) and Cindy Gibson (Richard Lernout - predeceased); as well as grandsons, Richard Ireland and Cameron Lernout.
Predeceased by his wife Rose Gibson, together they spent many years enjoying the cottage at Grand Beach and their snowbird home in Mesa, Arizona where they had many friends. Dad was blessed to have had enjoyed retirement nearly as long as he worked as a Locomotive Engineer with CN Rail. You are at peace now and forever in our hearts.
A private cremation has taken place.

I knew Ron and his family thru Transcona. My husband and I luckily bought my grandparents cottage while we were living in Ottawa. Later we moved back to town and raised our children for the next twenty years. He was as nice as his dad. He and Rose were excellent neighbours. We have to thank him for belatedly telling my young daughter she had caught a trophy size fish (unfortunately) after it was cut.
