SHEILA LYNN THIESSEN

Sheila Thiessen passed away suddenly at Chilliwack General Hospital, surrounded by her family, on April 29, 2023 at the age of 61 years.

Predeceased by her father Henry Thiessen and her brother Bradley Thiessen.

Lovingly remembered by her mother Ester Thiessen and her loving husband Frank Collinson of 31 years, daughter Melissa Plowright (Ron) and her son David Dyck (Amber), her grandchildren (Maddie and Gabby Plowright and Myles and Cole Dyck), her brother Darryl Thiessen, and her nieces and nephews (Kristen, Melanie, Dylan and Kara).

Sheila was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 17, 1962, to parents Ester and Henry. She grew up in Winnipeg and after the birth of her two children, she eventually found her way to BC where she met Frank and happily spent many years living in Chilliwack River Valley enjoying time with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she loved to spoil them with treats whenever possible. Sheila will be remembered for her thoughtful spirit, always thinking of others, and sharing her wonderful baking especially at Christmas time.

"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun; of happy memories that I leave when life is done."

Her family would like to thank the staff at Chilliwack General Hospital for their kindness.

There will be no service at this time. Her family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
