Ruth passed away peacefully at Luther Home at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her parents, Emily and Edward Kletke; sister Alvina; brothers, Dan, Walter and Ken. She is survived by her brother Leonard.
Ruth grew up on a farm in Brunkild, MB, attending school there in her early years. She completed her education in Teulon where the family later moved. After successfully taking a bookkeeping course by correspondence, she worked for Federated Co-op for several years.
An avid crafter, Ruth completed many needlework and cross stitch pictures over the years, which she then framed and gifted to nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles.
Ruth was a very private and fiercely independent person. Health issues dictated her move to Luther Home in 2005 where she received excellent care over the last many years.
The family wish to thank all the care home personnel for their kindness, compassion and dedication in caring for Ruth.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue.
