BEVERLEY ROSE HANNESSON

(nee RADCLIFFE)

August 14, 1937 – August 22, 2023

Peacefully, with her loving family by her side, Beverley passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 86 years.

She is survived by the love of her life, husband Roy (Bud) Hannesson, daughter Jody Dubeck (husband Doug), daughter Jauna Hannesson, and son Jeff Hannesson (wife Patri). She is also survived by grandsons, Neil, Todd (wife Shannon), granddaughters, Sydney, Camryn, Liesette and Marlow and great-granddaughters, Grace and Claire. She also leaves behind her brother Les Radcliffe (wife Virginia), sister-in-law Lynda Yanz and many nieces and nephews.

Bev was predeceased by her parents, Fredrick and Wilma Radcliffe, sister Joyce Neale, daughter-in-law Toni Hannesson and son-in-law Jeff Charriere.

Bev was born in Winnipeg and grew up in River Heights. She attended Kelvin High School and then pursued a career as a flight attendant with Trans-Canada Airlines. After a chance meeting at a Grand Beach evening dance, Bev and Bud married in April 1960. While raising her family, Bev also worked at Canada Packers as a keypunch operator. Throughout their married life, Bev and Bud travelled to the Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexico, throughout the USA, and Australia and New Zealand. Bev loved gardening, cooking and going for walks. Her greatest joy was her family. She took immense pleasure in preparing and hosting Sunday dinners. Bev loved to laugh and joke. Her contagious smile and bubbly personality lit up every room she entered.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Johnson for his many years of wonderful care as Bev's physician and the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the care and compassion extended to her during her residency there.

No formal service will be held. In keeping with Bev's love of family gatherings, her family will come together at a later date to reminisce, share memories and laughter.

If so desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of choice in Bev's name. Condolences may be sent to Bev's Winnipeg Free Press Passages tribute page.

Mom, we love and miss you so much. We take comfort in having your kind and beautiful soul with us always. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest peacefully.
