EDWARD BRUCE SEDLESKI

(Edward) Bruce Sedleski, age 66, of Winnipeg, MB passed away suddenly on September 15, 2023 from a heart attack while enjoying a game of golf with his older brother and best friend, Brian Sedleski at the Inwood Golf and Country Club.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ed and June Sedleski. Bruce leaves to mourn his loving son Ben, longtime partner and friend Lorna Kostiuk, brother Brian (Deb), sister Bonny (Mike), brother Mike (Shauna), father-in-law Dean Kostiuk,
brother-in-law Dan Kostiuk, as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, and the family’s beloved dog Chase.
Bruce was a happy go lucky person throughout his life, well loved by his numerous friends and family, known for his intellect as well as for his great sense of humour.
Bruce was most proud of his son Ben, his pride and joy over the last 22 years. Prior to Ben’s arrival, he had many life adventures with Lorna and friends, including canoe trips, building a house in the country, living in France and more recently, golfing sojourns around Manitoba and in Arizona. Bruce had a successful career as a letter carrier at Canada Post, working there for 42 years.
Ben and Lorna would like to especially thank Brian for the care he gave to Bruce in his last moments of life. It is a comfort to them to know that he was with someone he loved and trusted at the time of his death. They would also like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Inwood Golf and Country Club for their assistance in handling the medical situation.
The family is planning a celebration of Bruce’s life on October 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crestview United Church (315 Hamilton Ave., Winnipeg). Cremation has already taken place and there will be a private family graveside service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Winnipeg Harvest would be very reflective of Bruce’s generous personality.

  • So sad for family left to mourn. I enjoyed your laughter Bruce and smiled when you came home showing me all the bargains you made in the meat department. Thank you for your friendship Bruce. It was my pleasure to have known you. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Barbsrs Mager (Friend of family) on: Oct 14, 2023

  • The world shall miss this lovely, soft spoken, intelligent man. Lorna, Benjamin, Dean and all of Bruce’s relatives, please accept our condolences from Ontario. We haven’t seen Bruce in a long time but we remember him to be very kind and a marvellous cook. The last time we visited, we brought home a couple of his specialty recipes, including one for his delicious pork chops. - Posted by: Clem and Peggy Kaddie (Friends) on: Oct 08, 2023
