It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William George Kostynuik on September 17, 2023.
William will be missed by siblings, Patrick, David, Micheal and Patricia, as well as his sons, Peter (Sharon), Andy (Debbbie), Joe (Nikki). He was predeceased by his parents, Anne and Micheal kostynuik, wife Marguerite and daughter Roberta. He is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
William was born in Winnipeg on July 12, 1941. He graduated from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate before pursuing a career in accounting, spending many years in the lumber and building industries. He married Marguerite in 1962 and the two moved to Calgary in 1988 before settling back in Winnipeg in 2007 to enjoy their retirement close to family.
He could oftentimes be found watching, playing or talking about golf in his spare time. A fond memory of dad was when he drove the entire family, all six of us, to New Orleans.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. He has been laid to rest with Marguerite in Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg.

My deepest condolences to you, Peter, Andy, and Joe and to your families. Uncle Bill was a great help along with Auntie Marguerite when my Mom lost Dad. I will always be thankful to both of them for being so caring to her.
