GLEN SMERCHANSKI

October 23, 1960 - October 18, 2022

I'm sorry that some of his friends and possibly some family members are finding out about his passing a year after this happened.

Unfortunately, the notice of passing was not done in the traditional Ukrainian way.

Glen was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (stage 4). Glen decided to just be kept comfortable throughout this until the end. Instead of enduring treatment that might have prolonged his life for a little while longer.

He was predeceased by his mother (Marie) and his father (Mike). He is survived by his brother Brian and wife Sharon. His wife Julie and son Benjamin and daughter Hanna.

A Celebration of Life was held for him and his ashes were interred at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.

One year has passed us by quickly and you will always be missed and always be in our hearts.

  • Glen and I met in 1972 when he came over from another school to go to junior high at Earl Grey. What brought us together was our passion for sports. Participating and watching! Big Bruins fan! And our passion for going fishing! Enough to ride our bikes to Lockport! He was my Best man at my wedding and my best partner to own a fishing boat with! There's lot's in between that! Lol. Thought about every day! Never forgotten!❤️ - Posted by: Rick Gauthier (Best friends) on: Oct 26, 2023
