FREDRICK LIONEL DOYLE

(CHUMMY)

It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Fredrick Lionel Doyle on October 10, 2023, at the age of 62 years.

Fred leaves to mourn his wife Elaine, his children, Kaitlyn (Brandon) and Alexander, grandchildren, Emily, Myles and Anthony, mother Jeanette, brothers, Danny (Judy) and Cory (Jessica), nieces, Stephanie, Khloe and Mercedes, nephews, Justin, Tyler and Tristen, numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Danielle, his father Paul, brother Wayne and nephew Dustin.

Fred was kind hearted and always had a smile on his face. He loved animals and was an avid sports fan, especially loved hockey. Go Jets Go! When he was younger he always cheered for the big bad Bruins. His all-time favourite player was Bobby Orr. He learned to play crib and backgammon at a young age and always had time for a game and a chat. He grew up in Pine Falls and lived in Selkirk the majority of his adult life. He worked at Selkirk Hospital for over 20 years. The last three years were spent in Winnipeg to be closer to his cherished grandchildren. You will be missed. We love you.

Fred will be cremated and his Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2024. Interment will be beside his brother Wayne at The Rock Pine Falls Cemetery.

  • I was lucky enough to meet Fred in the 1960s, we both lived on Poplar Street although very different we became fast friends and always hung around till probably the late seventies. I had many games of cribbage with Fred and could not even come close to beating him despite the fact my dad coached me in cards and knew his way around it card table I was not so skilled. I have many fond memories of sitting with Fred and Mr and Mrs Doyle through meals and just general conversation. As teenagers me and Fred drifted apart and never did keep in touch however when we saw each other we were always happy to see each other and shake hands and talked about the good old days back in Pine Falls. My last memory of him a very good one in Selkirk we met at the mall there accidentally and spent close to an hour updating each other on our lives. I'm so thankful our last meeting was a pleasant and a happy one. To Elaine, Mrs Doyle, Cory and Danny, and to Fred's children and grandchildren my condolences and hope your memories of your father and grandfather we're just as wonderful as mine. Know your father is at peace now and with God. Gary DeLuca - Posted by: Gary DeLuca (Former acquaintance ) on: Oct 21, 2023
