SIEGMUND PETER GEIB
Peacefully, after courageously battling a gastric ailment for seven hard weeks. "Sigi", a caring husband, loving father and doting grandfather, made his mark in this world simply by being himself. He lived to help others and touched the hearts of many. He will be missed tremendously by those who called him Opa, Dad, Onkel, good neighbour, and friend.
He is survived by his daughter Vivian (Christoph), granddaughter Elena, families of choice in Canada and extended family in Germany. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Helga, his favourite aunt Frances, who sponsored his immigration, as well as (in Germany) his niece, parents, four siblings and brother/sister-in-law.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at 5 North at the Victoria General Hospital.
An Open House Memorial will be held at a later date.
