FRED RYCHLIWSKI
Fred Rychliwski, passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 90 in his hometown of Winnipeg.
Fred was the eldest of four children born to Ukrainian immigrant parents, Natalie and Nicholas. He left school at an early age to work and support his mother and younger siblings, Ed, Morris, and Anne. Fred joined the army at a young age where he was a Corporal and later a Captain with the reserve army. Fred became an iron worker and eventually attained the position as the business agent for Local 728 for over 22 years.
Fred leaves behind three children whom he loved very much, Bradley, Leslie and Susan (Jim). He will be missed by the many who knew him and who cared for him in his later years. We will especially miss his vividly-detailed, humorous storytelling about his earlier years in life.
Thank you to Dr. Terry Babick, the staff of River Ridge Retirement Residence, and Seven Oaks General Hospital.
Interment has taken place at Brookside Cemetery where he rests. He was very loved and will be dearly missed.
