Joan and Calvin both were incredibly kind to my husband Malcolm and I. They taught us so much about living in the country. After my car accident Joan was amazing and made sure we got temporary help through the welfare mortgage payment access while I recovered. She laughed when I asked her who to write the cheque to once I was back at work. Later years she was quick to put on the kettle and offer baking when i visited with my new husband Danno. I will always cherish the times I spent with Joan. My condolences to the entire family. Hugs - Posted by: Dutchess Sabovitch (Friend) on: Nov 19, 2023

Among my fisrst visitors, were my Auntie Joan and her boyfriend Calvin Peters, Dec 1951. She was a large and wonderful part of my life. Giving me cousins to play with, as well as very unwanted perm. (I have pictures.) She found me hand me downs and even loaned me my first pair of high heels. She encouraged me to to better and work harder at home and at school. She held a wedding shower for me, made 3 of the 4 bridemaids dresses and even arranged the wedding bouquets. She was a huge part of my family, and all of the major events that occured within it. She was a wise guiding light in my life. She was appreciated and loved, by me. Lorna (Huff) Barr - Posted by: Lorna Barr (Niece) on: Nov 19, 2023
