FRANCIS GEORGE (FRANK) GRUMBO

November 23, 1961 – November 7, 2023

Unexpectedly, Frank passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the age of 62. Frank was predeceased by his parents Lawrence Grumbo and Nora Mary Fleury, and brothers Victor, Raymond, Gillis, and Lawrence. He will be lovingly remembered by his ex-wife and best friend Robin Grumbo, son Derek Dowan; daughters Jayce Paul (Myles Thiessen) and Jenny Paul (Carl Sinclair); his three grandsons Daniel, David, and Liam Dowan; great-niece Kayla Swan, Devante and Zavien Mcaskie; aunt Verna DeMontigny; sisters Darlene Grandbois and Marie Grandbois; and brothers Andy Grumbo and Frank Head.





Frank was born in Russell, MB, raised in Saskatchewan. Frank was a hard worker and loved to work with just about everything. He loved carpentry and making benches, decks, chests, and shelves. He could fix anything, and had a love for cooking, and playing cards, crib, and marbles. He was an outgoing charismatic person, everyone loved him. He had a quiet thoughtful side to him too, with a dark sense of humour. If he were here now, he would be saying, "whatever, things happen."

Remember all the laughter,

We’ve shared throughout the years.

Now I am contented

That my life it was worthwhile,

Knowing as I passed along the way

I made somebody smile.

When you are walking down the street

And you’ve got me on your mind,

I’m walking in your footsteps

Only half a step behind.

So please don’t be unhappy

Just because I’m out of sight,

Remember that I’m with you

Each morning, noon and night.

A private family service was held in Brandon, Manitoba, at the Brandon Cemetery where Frank is buried.
