Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED SCHEFFLER
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Alfred Scheffler, at the age of 88 years, on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Alfred will be greatly missed by Olga, his wife of 64 years; his children, Linda (Charlie), Roxie (Jack), and Gerald (Linda); his grandchildren Derek (Larissa) and Robyn (Brad) and his great-granddaughter, Riley.
Alfred worked many years at Canada Post. In his leisure time and after retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, especially turning bowls and carving figurines. Alfred was always ready to help and never stepped away from a challenge. He and Olga spent many days camping and fishing (with Big Whiteshell a favorite location) and travelling across Canada and abroad.
Alfred and Olga volunteered for many years at the Christmas Cheer Board and Fred Douglas Lodge, planting flowers for the residents to enjoy.
The family extends a special thanks to Home Care for all their assistance, especially Rolando, Robert and Raymond and to the caring staff of Unit Seven, fifth floor at Seven Oaks Hospital for their support in Alfred’s final days.
In keeping with Alfred’s wishes, no formal service is planned. We will remember him for all he did and what he left us.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice in Alfred’s memory.

I offer my deepest condolences to Olga and the Scheffler family. I have many fond memories of Alf as a child watching all the crib games. - Posted by: Barb Buffington (Family friend) on: Dec 09, 2023
