ERIC JAMES GUY
Sadly, on Wednesday, December 5, Eric James Guy passed away due to a cardiac event at the St. Boniface Hospital.
Eric is survived by his beloved wife Val of 48 years; his mother-in-law Laura Perreault; stepfathers, Bert Glow, Joe Regner; sister-in-law Wendy Stepaniuk; brother-in-law Bill Stepaniuk of Calgary and nephew Michael Stepaniuk (godson) and girlfriend Allie.
Eric and I were devoted dog lovers of Siberian Huskies. We had a total of six huskies in our wonderful time together. Eric was first and foremost a lover of curling and hockey (Boston Bruins). He curled at the Granite Curling Club for years. He was also the President of the Granite for two years. He was presented the Charter of the Granite Curling Club, which he cherished.
We will have a celebration of his life in the Spring. Any tributes to Eric can be made through Voyage Funeral Home website. Eric will be buried beside his mother, Helen Gould and his grandpa and grandma Fuchs in the Elmwood Cemetery on Henderson Highway.

So sad to hear of Eric's passing. It is impossible to remember him without thinking of Val...they were a unit. We socialized together, partying at their home, curled together and as a real estate rep he found three homes for me over the years. I am sending love and wishes for comfort during this time of loss. - Posted by: Jack King (Friend) on: Dec 11, 2023

Val, we are so saddened and still shocked at this news. Eric and I have been friends since we met in kindergarten! And I treasure that friendship to the moon and back. In our early married lives, I’ll always remember our weekends at West Hawk Lake! Then over the past 35 years, the 4 of us spending so many enjoyable times together.
