STEPHEN (STEVE) OKOLITA

Stephen Alexander Okolita, 55, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on December 9, 2023. He was born on May 16, 1968, in Winnipeg and was raised in Whitemouth, MB. His career led him to live in various locations across Canada. He was the son of Alexander Okolita and Sharon Okolita (Halvorsen), who preceded him in death. Stephen is survived by his sister Christine (David) Bishop and nieces, Alicia and Kathryn.

Stephen had a passion for airplanes, computers, ham radio, models and reading. He was a curious and knowledgeable individual who enjoyed exploring the intricacies of these subjects. Stephen's love for learning led him to pursue higher education, earning engineering and education degrees from the University of Manitoba. He attended Whitemouth Collegiate for his elementary and high school education.

In honoring Stephen's wishes, there will not be a formal funeral service. However, friends and family are invited to remember him in their own way.

For those who wish to make a contribution in Stephen's memory, donations can be made to Star Lake Lodge, a place for families that was close to his heart. (Box 1734, Winnipeg MB R3C 2Z9)

Stephen will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His passion for knowledge, his love for his hobbies, and his humour will forever be cherished in our hearts.
