CONNIE SHIRLEY STEFANYSHYN
Mom, 87, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at St. Boniface Hospital.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Stan, her children, grand and great-grandchildren, Dennis (Jan, Rob), Laurie (Gerry, Candis, Ryan, Zach, Kinley, Sara, Josh, Riley, Isla).
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Louise and Earl Templeton, her brother Lionel and sister Doreen. She will be sadly missed by her brother Ron, and many other extended family members and friends.
Mom’s journey began growing up on the farm in the area of Austin, MB. Mom moved to Winnipeg and worked at Great West Life. She married Stan and had two kids, Dennis and Laurie. Soon after, mom went back to work as a printer where she retired at 60.
Mom had many interests and talents. She enjoyed painting, learning to play instruments, reading and she enjoyed her flower gardens. She loved entertaining and went all out making her place shine, cooking fancy food, and decorating the table. In the last few years Mom still loved her plants both inside and out on the balcony of their apartment.
Mom and Dad travelled the world. Every year they had another adventure taking them to exciting places and bringing home new memories.
To mom, family meant everything. She couldn’t wait for a phone call, a visit and a gathering of her family and extended family. She loved hearing all about her grand and great-grandkids. Mom loved being out at the lake, dancing, singing, laughing, floating on the lake, playing cards and being with her family.
Mom, you will be missed, remembered and loved. Always in our hearts!
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
The Celebration of Life will be pushed back to January 27, at Bourekvale Community Club. 100 Ferry Road at 11:00 a.m.

Sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. We have such great memories of holidays spent together over the years. Auntie Connie had the most infectious laugh and such a true and genuine smile. She had an absolute flair for life and loved her people fiercely. She’ll be missed dearly but all those fabulous memories will live on forever.
