With profound sadness, the family of Rita Carriere announces her passing on December 10, 2023 in Calgary, AB at the age of 88 years.
Rita is survived by her husband Gerry; children, Mariette (Trent), Gilles (Ted) and Jocelyne; grandchildren, Ryan, Danielle (Shane), Joel, Chandler, Kyra (Brayden), Renée (Dustin) and first great-granddaughter, Cameron, all of Calgary, AB.
She is also survived by her sisters, Claire (Henri Lécuyer), Blandine (Wayne Hardman), Jacqueline (Roger Ritchot) and brother Léo (Anna) Aubin, all of Winnipeg, MB; as well as several sisters and brothers-in-law from both sides of the family and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rita was predeceased by her parents, Camille and Carmélia Aubin; sister Gisèle (Wilfrid Chicoine) and brother Denis Aubin; as well as several sisters and brothers-in-law from the Aubin/Carriere families.
There will be a service on January 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eden Brook Funeral and Reception Centre, 24223 Township Road 242, Calgary, AB. A live stream link will be provided on the day of the service.
