Clark was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on September 23, 1943, to Thomas and Dolly Gregory. Clark attended grade school in Vancouver, BC, and upon moving back to Winnipeg he attended Deer Lodge Jr High, St. James Collegiate and Red River Community College.
Clark worked for the provincial government as a Mechanical Engineer. Over the years he held Engineer positions at the Manitoba Legislative Building, Red River Community College, and other venues. Clark was always upgrading his education relating to his job and many interests.
Clark practiced aikido for about 35 years, with the majority of it at the Aikido of Winnipeg Club. He trained with Doug Reichert, Sensei, and was working on his 2nd Black Belt. He was awarded his 1st Black Belt by Kawahara Shihan, Sensei.
He loved aikido and the friends he had met there over the years.
Clark also loved to travel. Over the years he visited places like Japan, Iceland, and Scotland. Clark also enjoyed travelling to aikido camps in the summer. Clark loved all animals and always had a pet dog (most of which were from rescues).
He was a good son, brother, and friend to all. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his sisters Betty (Laporte) Coad of Victoria, BC, and Wendy Yeo of Killarney, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In accordance with his wishes, a service will be held in summer 2024.
Donations in memory of Clark may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or an animal rescue of your choice.
