Frank and Doris were married 39 years on December 15, 1984, and together for 44 years. In their early years together, they lived in Thompson where they both worked. She worked at the Red Apple and two restaurants in Thompson. They had many chances to be out in nature when they lived in the north. She loved fishing and she had a great talent for reeling them in!
Doris loved to spend time with her family and go on big and small trips with Frank. They travelled to eastern Canada a number of times, New York and also travelled out west. At home, she loved to decorate their house and really made it a home for their family.
Doris held on to her belief and faith in God as her relatives taught her. She always kept her father’s Bible with her and also donated to her father’s home church. As we lay our dear Doris to rest, we thank her for her love and dedication to her family and friends. The meaningful relationships she had with us will always be deeply appreciated and we will miss her very much. But we take comfort that she is with her Lord, is free of pain and that we will see you again.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Ashern Hospital and Dauphin Hospital, Little Saskatchewan First Nation and Pinaymootang First Nation for their support.
The wake will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Fairford House of Prayer and funeral service at the same location from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6. Interment to follow at St. Helens Anglican Church in Pinaymootang First Nation.

I would just like to say how sorry I am to hear of Doris' passing, I worked with Doris back in the 90's at Red Apple downtown Winnipeg, Doris was alway so nice to work with, and it was a pleasure getting to know her. - Posted by: Darlene (co-worker) on: Jan 03, 2024
