Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHEATHER ADAMSON
Peacefully, at the age of 72, Heather Lynne Adamson (nee Penston) passed away on December 29, 2023, after a four-year struggle with cancer.
She leaves behind her loving husband Harry and son Cameron.
Also in her heart were her two sisters, Sandra (Larry), Bev (Lorne) and all their children. In England she had two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Peter), Lorna (Tom) and all their children. Heather has two people she wanted to point out especially. Lisa and Joanne (they understand the reasons).
Heather grew up like any other girl, graduated, then got a job as a nurse.
In her early 20s she decided to explore the world, and with her friend Dolores took a cruise ship to Australia for nursing jobs there. On that ship she met her future husband Harry. She returned to Winnipeg and started her family.
Heather's volunteer work included The Variety Club and Manitoba Wheel Chair Sport Association. Summer recreation was watching the Blue Jays.
Heather's Celebration of Life will be held at Transcona Legion January 15, 2024 starting at 2.00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.

We first met Harry and Heather some years ago through the Transcona Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. A more quiet, unassuming, caring and kindly couple one could not wish to meet. Two people whose characters so totally meshed. We are so very sad that you have had to part this way Harry and Cameron, Heather will be missed by many. RIP Heather, until we all meet again. Heather was a very loving, thoughtful person who spent countless years volunteering for Variety. She maintained a positive attitude throughout her life, always smiling, always laughing. She was exceedingly proud of Cameron, and loved Harry very much. She will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained another angel. I met Heather and her family when they bought the store in my home town. Turns out our Mothers were long time friends. Her sister Bev was closer to my age, but Heather was always very nice to me and she would get very frustrated with Bev. We have lots of great memories with the Pensions. I'm so sorry for your loss, Harry and Cam, Bev,Lorne, Sandra, Larry and families. I will be away on January 15th otherwise I would be there. Hugs to all. - Posted by: Laverne Scharien Adolphe (Friend ) on: Jan 05, 2024
