Peacefully after a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret we announce the passing of Herbert Schierle on January 2, 2024.
He is survived by his four children, Randy, Kim, Charlene and Christine.
He was predeceased by his wife Gail.
Funeral to be held on January 6th at 1:00 p.m. at Ness Baptist Church, 2700 Ness Avenue.

Herb was our neighbor for at least 15 years. First off he was a great neighbor… He was a kind, mild mannered man who always stopped to say hello, how are you, and always bent over to scratch the top of the dogs head. Some days we stopped and had good conversations with each other…other days just short hellos and at least a wave hello… He always uplifted your spirits if they were down… he gave hope if you were feeling like there wasn’t any. He looked on the bright side of life I’d say. He was often seen dashing off to one outing or another. It was apparent that he enjoyed his life in retirement..he enjoyed his activities and friends… Herb is missed and will be missed.. - Posted by: Karen Freund (Neighbor) on: Jan 28, 2024

We are so sorry to hear of your loss of our old friend and neighbour Herb (and Gail). I stopped into see him back in March 2023 and now am so glad I did. May he Rest In Peace with Gail now. P.S.
