It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Darrell Kopisky on January 1, 2024, at the age of 79. Remaining to remember Doug are his sisters, Vera and Valerie; nephews Brian (Diana) and Paul (Rose) and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Alice, his son Walter, and siblings Ted, Ed and Sandra.
Doug loved to fish and hunt for lost heirlooms with his metal detector. He enjoyed raising tropical fish and trips with Alice to find treasure at local thrift stores. He worked for Alpine/Gypsum Drywall Company for many years but loved the freedom of retirement. Doug was a private man, and, to his wishes, a family remembrance will take place at a later date.

Doug was the manager of Alpine Drywall Residential division for two decades after a successful career with Gypsum Drywall. He was respected for his work ethic, knowledge and dedication by customers and co-workers. During his tenure at Alpine, he installed a large aquarium in our lunch room, selected the fish and cared for them. You would have to get up way before breakfast to be in the office before Doug.
