DAVID J. MILLER

1945 - 2023

David passed away in Harlingen, Texas, with his loving partner Susan Cook at his side, following a sudden and brief illness on November 28, 2023. Susan will cherish the time they had together and the wonderful memories they made.

David was predeceased by his father David M. Miller and his mother Nancy Miller.

He is survived by his sister Heather Cumming (Peter), his son David Alexander Miller (Shannon Westcott), granddaughter Emma Westcott, his daughter Emily Miller-Palmquist (Trevor) and granddaughter Flora Palmquist.

David made his mark internationally in the insurance industry having spent multiple years training at Lloyds of London. He was responsible, along with his father, in numerous corporate acquisitions and mergers in the financial world and will be missed by the many friends and associates he made in business.

David, after retiring, moved to Clearwater Bay, Ontario then Kenora / Keewatin, when he eventually began spending winters in Texas where he met his life partner Susan Cook, mutually finding true love.

He made many friends in Texas and everywhere he went through out his lifetime, in business, golf, and of course fishing.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
