JOSEPHINE HALLDORSON

It is with immense sadness we announce that after a brief illness, Josephine Halldorson peacefully passed away at the age of 83 years at Grace Hospital on February 6, 2024.



Josephine was known by many names by those that knew and loved her; Melody, Auntie Toots, Baba, Josie, to name a few. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kyle Halldorson and Kelsey Halldorson (Gerrit Delaquis) and their mom, Maureen Baskin; sister Sharon Janik, niece Allyson (Mike, Noah and Eli), nephew Darren; numerous extended family members; family friend Julie Zoroneck, along with all her "boyfriends" at Kinsman Housing, Barry, Pedro, Guy, John, and Jeff. Josephine was predeceased by her parents, Katrina and Joseph Renville, brothers, Edward, Clifford, Jim, Oliver, and Gordon. She was also sadly predeceased by both her children, Owen and Wendy. Her children were her world, and their passing was felt profoundly. Her strength came from the belief that she would one day be with them again, and we know that trio is together once more.



Josephine's love of music was passed along to both her children and grandchildren and the warmth of her kind and gentle nature was felt by all who knew her.



As per Josephine's wishes, there will be no funeral and a small, private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. You may be gone, but you will live forever in our memories and in our hearts because you have given us a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, joy, and happiness.
