LUCIEN ADELARD ETHIER

It is with broken hearts we announce the loss of our beloved Lucien. Lucien passed away suddenly on February 5, 2024 at the age of 46.

Known for his caring, loving, and compassionate nature, Lucien led with loyalty, and was a friend to all. Lucien was the one you called in times of joy and in times of need. The one you loved to share a story, a laugh, and a drink with.

An avid outdoorsman, Lucien was in his element when hunting, fishing, farming and trapping. From his time as a boy on the farm in Bellsite to his days as an adult in Brandon, Lucien loved to share his enthusiasm and knowledge of the outdoors with anyone who wished to participate.

A trait passed on from his mom, Mary - Lucien loved to entertain! From a fish fry to his gourmet inspirations on the grill, Lucien took great pride and joy providing a memorable meal for family and friends; often paired with “Luch’s Finest”, his homemade brew.

For over 20 years, Lucien served and protected his community as a constable with the Brandon Police Service. Lucien was a firearms instructor and assigned to the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team.

Lucien is survived by his spouse and soulmate Lindsay, son Ethan, siblings Sherry, Renee, Lionel, Serge, Marlon, and their families, and Lucien’s cherished labradors Nix and Echo. Lucien is predeceased by his mom, Mary, and his dad, Ed Ethier.

A celebration of life will take place at a future date for family, friends and those who wish to raise a glass to Lucien.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation in tribute to Lucien. https://mwf.mb.ca/the-mwf/donate

  • Sorry for the loss of a great human being. I first got to know Lucien (Luch) at Travis's cabin. It was immediate how you could tell he was a good guy, with a great sense of humor. Luch was also a great resource for me when I had files in Brandon. I would call him and he would get me the information I needed or check on a place without hesitation..... Just a genuine good person !!!!! Gone way too early...... RIP Luch. - Posted by: David R Lysyk (Friend) on: Feb 14, 2024
