BONNIE LYNN FREEBORN

(MCLEAN)

January 28, 1949 - February 26, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Lynn Freeborn of Devon, Alberta. Bonnie peacefully transitioned on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the age of 75 years, with her daughter by her side.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to her parents, Anne and Gordon McLean, Bonnie's spirit lives on through her children, Colleen (Jamie) Walker, Michael (Kellie) Freeborn, and Heather Larke (Derrick); grandchildren, Aiden Walker, Owen Walker, Ethan Freeborn, Tyler Freeborn, Alexandra Larke and Samantha Larke; cherished friend, Lyle Cooper; special niece, Julie Zulak; and a very close circle of the most incredible friends and extended family. Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, Doug; her parents, Gordon and Anne; and her siblings, Bob and Karen.

Bonnie found great joy in traveling and her heart was fullest when surrounded by her family and friends. Her memory will forever be treasured by those who experienced her deep love, shenanigans, laughter, and words of wisdom.

“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” - Thomas Campbell

Bonnie’s family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, to please consider a memorial donation to the charity of one’s choice.
