In Loving Memory of Millie
Celebrating the extraordinary life of Millie Krause, born March 11, 1949, in Linz, Austria. A radiant soul whose vibrant spirit illuminated every room she entered, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and indelible joy. Millie passed away peacefully, surrounded by her three daughters, on March 5, 2024.
A total powerhouse matriarch and brilliant businesswoman, Millie navigated life with unwavering determination, breaking barriers and paving the way for those around her. Her dynamic presence, coupled with a great sense of humour, made her a cherished friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
As an extraordinary mother to her three daughters - Payton, Nikki (Egon), and Sydney (Fabrice) - as well as her adopted daughters, Kelly and Alarey and other lucky adopted children around the world, Millie not only shared boundless love and guidance but has also left big high heels to fill. Manny, the love of her life, held a special place in her heart, as did his sons - Chip and Pepper Foster, Glen and James Finkleman. She is survived by her sister and best friend, Ayn and brother Joey. In addition to being an extraordinary mother, Millie was a loving and cherished Mimi to her five grandchildren, Zenon, Mateo, Piper, Aria and little Louve.
Her culinary prowess in the kitchen was matched only by her love for the arts, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of delicious meals. Superstitious and stylish, Millie approached life with a sense of wonder and flair. She loved a good martini and at the end of her life, she cherished fireside chats with her daughters, talking shop and sharing the wisdom gained from a life well-lived.
Her passion for exploration took her to the far corners of the globe, and her love for stylish living was reflected in every aspect of her life. A true connoisseur of the finer things, Millie approached every journey and every moment with elegance and grace.
In her memory, let us continue to embrace life with the same zeal and love for adventure that she embodied. Millie signed off her letters and conversations with a kiss mark - a true force of nature. A celebration of Millie's remarkable life will be held at a later date, please see www.youresimplythebest.com for more information. May she rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and uplift us all.
Mom, you’re simply the best.
