JILLIAN NATALIE FRANCES BLYTH

April 21, 1987 - March 16, 2018

When Jillian passed away, it felt like we had been clobbered! Hit so hard, it did not feel that we could survive. It was the end of everything. All you could feel was the pain and the heavy weight. It was hard to breathe, it was hard to think!

Can't we go back? Can't we ask for this dark fate to be on us, to happen to us. NOT HER! NOT HER! Our beautiful daughter Jillian - oh how we miss her. It is a horrible ache that comes with missing her.

We think of her and we smile, our frozen hearts thaw a little. The life she had was wonderful! The early days - so much joy, so much pride, as we watched and cheered! We were so very fortunate to share her growing into such a beautiful young woman.

We were so proud as we witnessed her further navigate her life course. She dedicated her life to her animal friends and the concern for their well-being. She adopted a vegan lifestyle and remained a true vegan until the end. She took on a very hands-on approach in the care and compassion for animals that came into the shelter. Her place was to be there for the animals that had been neglected, that were so afraid. Her day was complete when she knew that a new animal at the Humane Society had been rescued and had settled in, feeling comfortable, loved and safe!

Jillian had some amazing friendships, people that really cared for her as she did for them. She was a wonderful cook! Again, we smile as warm thoughts come to us remembering how long she spent preparing her meals. The aromas as another masterpiece was being created! Another vegan delight! Talk about tasty!

You never had to worry about her getting up and going to work at the shelter. Always with a smile on her face, and she always stayed late. We couldn't wait for her to share her day with us!

We feel your presence everywhere, Jillian. We always want your direction. What would Jillian do? What would Jillian say? Wouldn't it be great to have her…

But instead, six years have gone by without you. The pain, the weight, is always there. Oh, we miss you so very much! Our beautiful daughter; a loving sister.

We love you so very much.

Hugs and kisses,

Mom, Dad, and Colin
