BRUCE KENNETH MARSHALL
Date of Passing: Feb 14, 2024
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUCE KENNETH MARSHALL
It is with great sadness, we announce that Bruce Marshall passed away suddenly on February 14, 2024.
Bruce's greatest gift was his friendliness to others, especially to the less fortunate facing struggles which he knew all too well. He wanted them to feel valued and to know that others are struggling with them. This led to many friendships throughout the years. Bruce was a man of simplicity, not interested in other's titles or achievements, just wanting to exchange opinions on his favourite topics of sports, politics, music, and the weather. He was a proud Winnipegger, Manitoban, man of the prairies and a Canadian. He fully backed his teams, as sports gave him so much enjoyment in his life.
Bruce may not have accomplished much in the world's standard of achievements, which was never a goal for himself. However, he had a goodness and an innocence within his spirit that made your heart open to him. The circumstances that life handed him turned Bruce into a very humble man. Daily management was difficult throughout most of his adult life.
Yet each morning he would rise early and face another day of challenge.
Now his spirit soars free from the confines of his body and thoughts. May joy and happiness be his forever. "Praise God from Whom all Good things flow."
Bruce will be sadly missed by his stepmother Florence; his three siblings, Jackie (Steve), Judy, Brian (Yvonne) and niece Kiersten; Auntie Marilynn, Uncle Kenny, and Florence's children, Johanna, Nicole, and Brock, and his good friend Russell. He was predeceased by his father George Marshall and mother Frances Marshall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Cremation has occurred with a private burial service planned for July 2024.

I grew up with Bruce with the rest of "The Walden Gang". He was instrumental in organizing many road hockey, football, soccer, tennis, golf and baseball games. When Bruce went outside we all joined him for countless hours of fun and games until "The street lights went on". Bruce had a huge impact on me as a young person and as an adult. I taught physical education and health for 35 years with the Walden Spirit in me daily. Later on in life Bruce would walk the track daily at my work place and we would always talk Bombers and Jets like it was the good old days. One year I was fortunate enough to take Bruce shopping to buy him a Christmas hamper and although the sky was the limit for our budget he was very grateful to get anything. "Why can't I get this bologna? It's good!" After I recommended that he get pork chops. I will promise you this Bruce, I will never be Cournoyer if I play road hockey ever again! (Bruce wouldn't play if anyone but him would be that player). Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your legacy in me. Luv ya man. Glenn A. I beings me much sadness to see that Bruce has passed. I met Bruce in 1990 at the HSC. We had many in-depth conversations and the love and loss of his mom was something that he would speak of with difficulty. We lost touch a few years after meeting and I often thought of him and wondered where he was and how he was doing. Please accept my deepest condolences. - Posted by: Marcie Fiola (Friend ) on: Mar 16, 2024
