PATRICIA C. MIDDLETON

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia C. Middleton (nee Dever) who passed away at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 64.

Patricia, commonly referred to as ‘Patti’, was born on July 21, 1959, in Toronto, ON. Shortly thereafter she was adopted by Dr. Donald A. Dever and his wife Elva May. Patti was the apple of Don’s eye and the two of them shared a very special bond for the many years that followed.

The Dever’s lived in Cherry Hill, NJ and Burlington, ON before settling in Winnipeg, MB where Patti would meet the love of her life years later.

Patricia Dever met Wayne Middleton in 1973 when they were just 14 and 15 years of age. That summer marked the beginning of what would become the journey they shared together for the next 50 years of their lives. Wayne vividly recalls his very first impression of Patti as “stunningly beautiful, fun-loving, warm and full of laughter, purity and spontaneity.”

It was around this time that Patti met Wayne’s mother, Anne, who quickly and naturally became a mother-like figure and true friend to her. Both were selfless, loving women who always found a way to put others before themselves.

Wayne and Patti tied the knot in 1979 and together had three boys: Chris (C), Chris (M) and Jeff, each whom will greatly miss her and remember her in their own special ways.

Patricia will also be missed by her pups Kodi, Maddie and Hannah who all shared a deep and mutual adoration for one another.

Patti was a kind and thoughtful soul who was a lifelong advocate for the welfare for all animals. She absolutely loved being in the backyard with her dogs while attending to her plants and feeding the neighbourhood wildlife.

Wayne, Chris and Jeff Middleton would like to send a warm and special thank you to Dale and Connie Crampton for providing Chris C. with a life filled with love and opportunity.

Patti/Mom - We will always love you and until we meet again we ask that you look over us with love and light.

In lieu of flowers, financial contributions in memory of Patricia can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
