HEATHER JEAN ZUK
With our deepest, saddened hearts we announce, in the early morning hours of April 3, Heather left us to be with her Lord, after a short & courageous battle.
Heather is survived by her loving husband, Gary, of 46 years and his family, sister Judy of Calgary, brother Barry of Delta, sister Val of Winnipeg and their families. Also, her mother Georgina of Winnipeg, her sister Beverly of Calgary and her two sons, David and Douglas and their families; special cousins, Edwin, Clayton, Doug, Laurel, and Warren along with their families.
Heather was born in Leader, Saskatchewan and spent most of her childhood in Saskatchewan before moving to Winnipeg as a teenager. Then she moved to Gimli and Dauphin before moving back to Winnipeg.
Heather worked for the Provincial government for 38 years, retiring 10 years ago. Heather and Gary loved to travel and have visited many countries and destinations.
Everyone who knew Heather can honestly say she never had a bad day and always, always had such a beautiful smile for everyone.
As we lay our Lord's sweetest creation to rest, we would like to thank the staff at Riverview 3E for their endless passion and dedication. Funeral service will be held at North Kildonan United Church, 174 Pentland Street, on Saturday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to North Kildonan United Church.
