It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Duke Cameron, at home, after a brief illness.
Duke was born in Winnipeg. His family moved to a farm in Libau, Manitoba when he was a child. He attended Happy Thoughts School in East Selkirk, and the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School in Selkirk, where he studied power mechanics. He had multiple jobs as a young man. His main interests were busses, classic cars, trucks, farming, and animals. He and his fiancée Jody established their own successful trucking business in 2017.
Duke is survived by his fiancée, Jody Corriveau, and her sons, Julien Corriveau, and Jerome (Jamie) Corriveau, and their daughters, Olivia and Ellianna, as well as our dog Duchy and cats, Schatze and Jack; by his parents, Gwen and Duke Cameron, his brother Bill Cameron (Rosalie) and their children, Kyla and Breeann, his daughter Bethany (Anthony) Monkman and their children, Keira and Landon, and his daughter Bailey (Ryan) Cameron.
His funeral service will be held on April 13, 2024, at the West St. Paul Funeral Home, 92 Merit Crescent, Winnipeg. Viewing at 11:00 a.m., service at 12:00 p.m. followed by a lunch, officiating by Reverend Cole Grambo.
Donations in Duke's honour may be made to the Diabetes Canada.
