Edison passed away suddenly on April 9, 2024, at Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 46 years. He had taken on and vowed to defeat many challenges in life but his opportunity was taken from him prematurely. He was loved by many.
He was predeceased by grandparents on both sides and survived by his parents, Leslie and Lorris; brothers, Deno, Donovan, Shawn, Colin; daughter Khataleina, and nephews, Aaron, Triton, Zael and Arius along with many aunties, uncles, and cousins from Canada, the US, the Caribbean, and South America from the Erskine, Penniston, and Knights families.
Edison was born in Winnipeg, went to Maples Collegiate and completed culinary courses at Red River College.
The family is especially thankful to the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Health Sciences Centre and for the outpouring of support from the community and from the many friends he made through his life.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg with Sherland Doolgar officiating. The service will be Livestreamed starting at 3:55 p.m. (CDT) and the recording can be viewed for up to 90 days online at this website: tinyurl.com/edison1977
