Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE COSMAN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Cosman, aged 93 years
Leslie was born to Charles and Maita (Hurtig) Cosman in Winnipeg. He was the youngest of seven. He was proud to have graduated from Daniel McIntyre High School and then from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Leslie remained a “boy from Carlton Street”, where his family ran Cosman Furniture. He always had fond recollections of Winnipeg Beach and Goldeye was a dietary staple.
After graduating from university, Leslie moved to Alberta where he met and married Hazel (Hardin), his bride of 68 years. They had five sons. Connections to Winnipeg continued with family and his land development work with Genstar Development Company.
Les will always be remembered for his love of Hazel. For his pride in his family and friends. As the head coach of a highly successful swim team in Calgary. For his work ethic and drive. For his leadership and vision in land development in Western Canada and the Western US. His deep and booming voice. His friendly, warm, and big smile. His involvement in sports, art, travel, and adventure. And especially his love of life.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Camp Quality Manitoba, providing programs for children with cancer.
