Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Earls legacy of writing the Ingolf books will be remembered forever. Many times, during my long distance phone calls with my father, Al Vanderpont, I’d read him passages from the Ingolf book and we’d reminisce about so many good times at the lake. Our deepest condolences to Lynne and family. From Archie & Joan. - Posted by: Joan Rafter (Friend ) on: May 25, 2024

  • Earl was a good friend of our Family and a wonderful story teller and ambassador of Ingolf. Everyone who lived there or spent even just the Summers at Ingolf knew Earl quite well. His friendly face would show up at your dock to say hello and share stories of the amazing history of our small community. He even managed to get Roy on a snowmobile one Winter to check out a trail. Earl got ahead, Roy took a wrong turn and ended up in deep slush. I was riding in a toboggan behind Earl and we turned around and found Roy over his knees in slush trying to figure out how to get out! We managed then headed back stopping long enough to eat Lynn’s homemade cookies! My Roy died 3 days before Earl passed and Ingolf lost 2 wonderful men so close together. I wonder what adventures they are up to now! - Posted by: Tanyss Ward (Friend and neighbour) on: May 19, 2024
