It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved dad, Emmanuel, at the age of 91 on May 16, 2024.
Emmanuel will be dearly missed by his five children, and 11 grandchildren: Marc (Colette Leclaire) and their two children, Patrick (Iñaki Perochena) and Natalie (Justin Beaudry); Donald (Cheryl Kennedy) and their two children, Chantal (Daniel Cloutier) and Mélissa (Dylan McIlrath); Suzanne (Bill Neufeld) and their two children, Mélanie (Jason Tucker) and Colin (Mattea Lee); Monique (Ted Jablonski) and their two children, Gabrielle (James Schwartz) and Eric (Jen Rothwell); Richard (Michelle Fontaine) and their three children, Pascal (Kerri Maslanka), Deneige (Chris Lemire), and François (Perri Courtney); as well as 12 great-grandchildren: Amélie, Benoit and Cabrel Beaudry, Jakob and Félix Cloutier, Marley and Wesley McIlrath, Lily and Oliver Tucker, Cosette and Celeste Schwartz, and Colt Lemire. He leaves to mourn his brother Léo (Louise) and sister Rita Brémaud as well as his in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Emmanuel was predeceased by the love of his life, Yvette, his parents, Rose-Anna and Joseph Aimé Courcelles, as well as his brothers, Albert, Pierre, and Edmond, all of whom are eagerly awaiting his arrival for the start of a heavenly jam session.
Emmanuel and the "Courcelles Brothers" worked harmoniously for 40 years in a successful farm implement dealership, a hog operation, and an agricultural enterprise. Dad was passionate about working in the fields, so much so that he could be found driving a combine for Scott and Jason Parker well into his late 80s. Dad’s honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity were instrumental in forming long lasting loyal relationships with his employees, customers, and community.
After retiring in 2005, he enjoyed travelling with his beloved Yvette, family, and friends. Once that was no longer possible, he dedicated his time providing caring loving support for Mom. He was a true gentleman and a real role model for us all. He hummed and whistled his way through life. Emmanuel had a natural gift for music. Dad united the family with his passion and love, always being the first to pick up an instrument on every occasion and get the family sing-along going.
Emmanuel was incredibly devoted to his spouse and family. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren were drawn to his joie de vivre. He was without a doubt the best pepère in the world!
Please join us to celebrate Dad’s extraordinary life at the Ste-Agathe Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
