EUGENE CECIL CHUNICK

April 22, 1936 - May 17, 2024


Eugene, at the age of 88 years old, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on May 17, 2024.

Eugene is survived by his wife Jeannine; his daughters: Carol Cenerini (Rhéal), Darlene Dandeneau (Vince), Sheryl-Lynn Friesen (Robert); nine grandchildren: Chantale, Denten, Joseph, Nolan, Léon, Kyle, Adrienne, Kyra, Kade; four great-grandchildren: Anna, Madeline, Rhéal Joseph and Theodore. He will be missed by his surviving sisters: Patricia (Fred), Hazel, Violet, and his brother Yaroslaw, and was predeceased by his brother David.

Eugene was born to Paul and Winnie Chunick in Pine River, Manitoba. He spent his years growing up helping on the farm, going to school, and playing baseball. He moved to Winnipeg, met Jeannine, married, and started a family. They would have been married 64 years this June.

He was an accountant, with his own tax business and worked for 37 years at Bunge Corp. After his retirement, he spent every possible day on the Oakwood Golf course. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, and curling.

Eugene’s family will be honouring his life with a private intimate service. His family would love if you left a comment below to honour him.
