Darlene Kotchon passed away suddenly on May 15, 2024 at her home at the age of 57 years old.
Darlene leaves her mother Nettie, brothers, Robert (Leanne), Wayne (Donna), and Jeff, nieces and nephews, Megan, Braden, Terra (Brendan), Breanna (Josh), Ryan, and Jason, grandnephew Odin, as well as extended family and friends.
Darlene was born and raised in Transcona and loved spending time outdoors. She attended Red River College and exceled at her work as a legal assistant and also working for Hansard as a transcriber at the Manitoba Legislature.
Darlene had her struggles in dealing with her mental health which caused numerous highs and lows. She described Minaki as her paradise and her desire for cremation with ashes spread at Winnipeg River and Minaki.

Darlene was my cousin and I never got to spend time with her, we did finally connect on Facebook a few years ago. Her Dad was my Mom's brother. I will miss all our Facebook chats. Another Angel watching over us, we will meet again. Our condolences to her family, especially her Mom Auntie Nettie, and condolences to all her friends. Love to all.
