PATRICK (PAT) STUART

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Patrick “Pat” Joseph Stuart on May 20, 2024, at age 87.
Pat was a loving brother, uncle, friend, confidant, and most of all a warm-hearted soul.
Pat was a jack of all trades, worked at the Royal Bank, Coca Cola, and the Dakota Hotel. Pat was a lifelong Winnipeg Jet and Blue Bomber Fan. He was always full of stories and witty jokes. Pat was a great man who was always there for his friends and family during their difficult times and their best of times. Pat was truly one of the sincerest humans to walk this earth. Everyone’s heart he touched will miss him dearly and Pat will never be forgotten.
Pat is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Janine (Brian) Fijal, Darlene (Craig) Andrest; sister-in-law Linda Chesney; numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong friend Elva Miller Winkler, along with her children and grandchildren; long-time friends Ron Powlesland and Al Hadley, and friend Helmut Winkler.
Pat was predeceased by his parents, James and Simone Stuart; his brothers, Melvin (Gail) Stuart, Roger (Judy) Stuart, Brian Stuart; and his aunt Helen Reynolds.
The family wishes to thank his special friends, Wendy Scrimshaw, Kyle Scrimshaw, Paul De Clara, and Teena Barthelette for their loving care of our brother.
A special thank you to the staff at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home for their wonderful care of Pat.
Cremation has taken place and interment will be on June 1, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. located at St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald Street. Afterwards, Pat will be honoured in a Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m. located at St. Vital Knight’s Villa, 537A St Anne’s Road.

  • I remember working with Pat in the 80s at community rinks along with my brothers Ron and Joe. Lots of fun and laughter going with Pat to breakfast and buffets at nearby eateries. He always had plenty of jokes and stories to tell. Rest in peace buddy. - Posted by: Jim Powlesland (Friend) on: May 30, 2024
