On July 3, 2024, Alma Litke, 74, passed away in the presence of family.
Alma was born on March 7, 1950, in Morris, Manitoba to Theodor and Martha Gretzinger. On May 5, 1973, she married her love, Dennis Litke. Until becoming a grandmother, Alma's greatest joy was raising her children, Chris, Jeremy, and Larisa. Alma loved Jesus, loyally served in her church, and took great pleasure in keeping everybody well-fed. Alma enjoyed her work as a legal assistant and always met clients with a cheerful smile and bright "hello!"
Alma was preceded by her husband, Dennis; her parents, Theodor and Martha; her parent-in-laws, Sefrin and Ida Litke; her brothers, Alfred and Adolf; and her nephew, Ryan Litke. She is survived by her children, Chris (Marlise), Jeremy (Bethany), and Larisa (Dave) Cornelius; her grandchildren (and the true loves of her life), Brody, Hayden, Charlie, Silas, and Violet; her partner for the past six years, Ron Tumak; her sister, Dorothy (Mike) Mikols; her sisters-in-law, Heidi Gretzinger and Anne Gretzinger; and many cherished nieces, nephews, family members, and close friends.
An interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 11, at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Oasis Church (940 Elmhurst Road). Memorial donations can be made to Camp Nutimik Foundation.
