DOROTHY JEAN RONDEAU

Mom was born on December 27, 1936, and passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones.

Dorothy was a hard-working mother of four boys, doing her best to keep them in food and clothing when times were tight. She was a good cook. and she could sew anything, making everything with high standards to survive three generations of handing down, slightly heavier due to patching.

Dorothy worked for Canada Post in Ontario, for the Department of National Defense in Lahr, Germany, and for Canada Manpower / Employment Centres, at Donald Street, Main Street, West Portage, Red River, and University of Winnipeg Branches. She enjoyed improving lives by finding the best places for her clients.

Mom loved, and was loved by her many cats and dogs. Gardening was important to her, and she loved watching everything grow, especially flowers. She was an avid curler, both for the friendships and the sport. Mom took up painting after retirement and was quite skilled, creating beautiful oils on canvas.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Gus and her son Richard (Kim Hague). She leaves behind her children, Robert (Nicole Dupere), Jim (Dennis Tam) and John (Brenda Young) and grandchildren, Paul, Michelle, Nicole (Tyler Bacon), Steven, Jordan (Elizabeth) and Justin (Trinity).

Many thanks to Mom's neighbours for their kindness and support over the years.

A memorial service will be held at Avanets, 3584 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12.
