Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN ESPINOSA
Eileen Espinosa (née Whalley), beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 17, 2024 at the age of 83. Eileen was a beacon of strength and love to all who knew her. She bravely fought scleroderma with unwavering courage and grace.
Eileen is survived by her three loving sisters, Leslie, Geraldine, and Doreen, who supported her through every step of her journey, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Her children, Paul and Suzanne, will forever cherish the wisdom and warmth she imparted. Her legacy continues through her two grandchildren, Alex and Jordan, who brought immense joy to her life.
Eileen was a graduate of the Manitoba Teacher’s College and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was an avid sports fan who loved rooting for the underdog. Eileen’s career path led to her becoming an administrative assistant, where she thrived as a result of her meticulous organization, sharp mind, and willingness to take charge.
Throughout her battle with scleroderma, Eileen never lost her optimistic spirit or her determination to make the most of each day. Her resilience and positivity were an inspiration to all, reminding us of the power of love and hope even in the face of adversity.
As per Eileen’s wishes, there will not be a service after her cremation. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation in Eileen’s memory, to honor her fight and support those who continue to battle this disease. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

I knew Eileen only briefly during the time I worked at Sturgeon Creek 1. She was always one of my favourite people to visit with. She was a lovely and gracious lady with a wonderful sense of humour. - Posted by: Lisa (Acquaintance ) on: Jul 28, 2024
